Safety Tips when Hitching up a Trailer
Remember THRILLS every time you tow your trailer.
T=Tyres: No cuts or bulges, at least 1.6 mm tread and correct pressure for load.
H= Hitch: Correct height and fully locked on.
R= Reg.Plate: Same as towing vehicle.
I = Indicators: All operational especially on trailer
L= Lights: All working, rear lights, brake lights, hi-intensity light, number plate light.
L= Load: Load distributed over axles and well secured. Correct hitch weight
S= Safety: Stow Jockey wheel and legs high. Break-away cable ON, Trailer Brake OFF.
